    To this day every new ( industrial style) machine comes with a simple self addressed card to be sent in by the owner to the defense department so if in time of need it can be called up for service.

    One of mine got bumped coming off the line and bednt enough to cause issues. I called to buy a new threaded knob and was told it was a hard part to replace so I sent it back. Got it vack repaired 2 weeks later free of charge

    We had a small fixture made at work for grinding those knife edges when they were needed for gauges and tools. Set on one flat it allowed you to grind the 2 edges on that side and on the second side the second 2 edges and would keep them centered....

    One thing to watch when buying diamond compounds is the concentration of the diamond. Lower concentrations wont cut as cleanly or evenly and much slower. I avoid valve grinding compounds by name as they arnt graded as finely as the true compounds...
