6.5 Swede or 7mm Mauser. You going after something either one of those can't handle? I doubt it.

Congrats. I've found my Savage Axis 308 to be a great rifle. Nothing like hunting on Thanksgiving. I still don't spend several hundred bucks on the latest camo, carbon lined stuff. Old Johnson wool jacket and wool pants if it's cold enough.

I've got both Mossberg and Savage rifles in various calibers. Both are well made for plastic stocked guns on the lower price scale, no problems with them and very accurate for hunting. My wife's Savage 243 shot about .87 with my first handloads...

I've finally started reloading my 416 Ruger using Shooters World seriously previously I've only had time for a few loadings. A member on here was kind enough to send me a variety of cast under 400gr so I could narrow down a mold. There is not a...

Be careful with what scope you put on that air rifle. They have a different recoil impulse than a traditional rifle and can shake a scope apart. Better to get a scope designed for an air rifle.

Find out where it's denning and put a live trap with a bowl of peanut butter or sardines in the back of the trap up against the opening. Put an old blanket over the trap so it's dark. When it's caught leave the blanket on there and live release if...

If there was a even a small crack on the underside of the flywheel at the mounting hole, that'll do it. You just helped me solve a problem with an old Husky 41 I rebuilt but wouldn't run without a lot of help. :drinks:

Pretty much mirrors my experience at the Dixie Gun and Knife last weekend in Raleigh, NC. Not a bad selection of wood and steel but tables and tables of plastic handguns and rifles. I did see an old 25-35 lever and was looking it over and the...
