I put the biggest drill bit that would fit in the die body in mine, to make the collar part shorter, so that it makes what looks like a regular roll crimp, I also ground just a slight bit off of the bottom of the die body, so that it can travel a...

I ground the head of a long bolt to just fit into the top of the die, turned it over, and slammed it a few times just with it in my fist, and it worked. in fact I just did it today to my 44 mag collet die, I made the part that actually touches the ...

those are some good looking boolits! would they benefit from a slightly smaller " mouth" to the hp, or do they stay togeth like that, at those velocities?

I think they are worried about people "educating" the pigs, but I think that's baloney! hogs that get shot at don't become afraid of traps! they become afraid of hunters, and hogs that are trapped, unless they escape, are dead meat! now if a trapped...

ok, that makes sense, is that part of what you meant as "follow through"? alos, kind of a side note: the lee powder though expander expands the cases, but then sizes them down too much when you pull the case back out, I put the hollow expander in...

IMO yes. I have 2 9mm's that need big boolits. One is a Hipoint C9 pistol that keyholed and shot shotgun patterns until I put it on a diet of 125 gr .359 cast boolits. The other is a stub job for a Handi rifle. Converted shotgun barrel with a...

Our local Mill's Fleet farm has been stocking Plano 100 round hinged boxes with two catch's to hold them closed. Under 4$ each, mostly in the 3.59$ area. I have been stocking and filling and stocking for a bit now. Ammo table is starting to groan. ...

I love the 20 round mag's Red Ball developed for the 9mm Hipoint. Got the Hipoint seal of approval too. It works. Waiting for a bigger mag for the .45 and .40. Not that 9 or 10 is not enough. But it is nice not to have to reload so often. ...

yes, but I don't have a scope! unfair advantage, well, that, and my range only goes to 45-50 yards, but I did install a small pin on the front sight ( think very similar to a shotgun bead) which has helped m,e focus on the front sight and target...

hey, that load of 20grs, and of course you, shot pretty darn good! what range was that? you might try 20.5grs, see if it tightens up even more, I doubt you will notice a difference in recoil, I think your boolits are 15-20 grains heavier than mine...

Yes but a huge difference between 125 gr and 158's. If you want to stay with the light bullets go with a faster powder. If you want to use Blue Dot, go heavy.

I think that it is not jerking, but holding too tight that could be the problem, not so much fear of recoil, ( I have a short barrel single shot 12 ga w/ pistol grip that I fire one handed, so definetly don't mind the recoil, lol) but I think it is,...

About half and half. I shoot some .314 90 gr TC TL those are plain base. Mostly these are over light loads of Red Dot. I also shoot the Lee .312 185 gr those are checked. These I use the 4895 and they are probably fast enough that the gas...

Nice old Roller! I like the straight taper case too. I am not sure what it is, but I always like seeing rimmed cases in single shot rifles. Just seems to fit for some reason. Enjoy!
