I like what you're thinking but is there a rotary mag option on the Ruger American?

The 454 Case is only 1/10" longer than the 45 LC case. And they take small rifle primers. For the purposes of your intended use, 460 S&W would be a better place to start. Regular 45 lc loads with a fiber was should do the trick.

There's a YouTube channel for a couple of guys who will shoot pretty much anything anyone sends them out of a shotgun. I can't remember their channel name. Despite shooting everything from exotic Russian, French and German slugs, to stuff dudes made...

Let me know if you find anything that works. RCBS does a 20 ga shell-holder. Magtech brass won't work with the old Lee kits. Magtech brass uses LP primers (so the Lee deprimer doesn't work) and is so thin that the old Lee sizing die doesn't...

You converted them to flat base slicks. What's your next trick? :) Very cool. Way to stick at it.

So the RS approximates FFg black powder which would be right for your rifle. The P stands for pistol, which means it's more like FFFg, a finer grain. With black powder, grain size determines ignition rate and your Pyro P will be fast, meaning rapid,...

Load RS just as the real stuff: fill to approximately 1/10" above where the bullet base will sit, compress, and seat bullet into contact with powder (or with lube and wad, which is in contact with powder). While it is very unlikely that the same...

German #4 for game. A simple fine line cross hairs for targets. I have an old Bushnell with an optional post reticle, can't remember the marketing name for it. It's a fine cross hair reticle and with a turn of the dial, a post reticle can be...
