I suppose the "best" lever gun and hunting cartridge combo might be a Winchester Md. 88 in .308 Win or .358 Win OR a Savage Md. 99 or Sako Finnwolf in .308 but none of them are inexpensive or easily found anymore.

That's it, save the knob is aluminum. And the photo shows the feed tube in backwards.

I'm old and a bit cantankerous; I don't know how to do pix and I'm not going to learn. It's aluminum, consisting of a vertical tube base/reservoir and a smaller drop tube. It looks like a manual powder trickler and works well. If anyone needs...

The 310s were made to neck size so you couldn't use a conventional FL die even if you could get it threaded. My limited experience working with case hardened FL dies in a lathe tells me your idea won't work, the dies are too hard. It might work...

Now that Lyman has discontinued the 310 dies I was wondering if it would be possible to turn down a regular die and chase the 5/8-30 threads on it. Sent from my VS880 using Tapatalk

The Rapture is indeed a seperate event and it precedes the last seven years of world wide "Tribulation" that we call the "End Times". There are no prophecies left to fulfill before the Rapture, we are told to live in high expectation that...

I just did a quick look for "Baptists" in Wikipedia and find they say the number is 31 subdivisions. That's a more reasonable number but I still doubt it's really that high; I'd guess maybe 20 is more or less correct. ??? Secular people striving...

Which is best depends on what you want to do with it. Out of the currently easily available rifles the .35 Rem is the "best" hunting cartridge and that means a 336 Marlin. It's a bit more flexible for bigger game size than the next best round,...

The basic functions of a press is too simple to reduce, each part is as necessary as any other. One of the big parts you're missing is the frame. There's no doubt you could use those parts on something but what you could "make" while using some...

I happened to pick up a couple of surplus WW2 bricks of small pistol caps at a Tampa gun show in the mid 60s; I'm 80 now so they are about as old as me. If I didn't know their age I'd swear they were made last year and stored in a yellowed plain...

I don't believe the ratio is critical to its performance. The wax is too hard to use as is, the oil is mostly a softener. Just mix them to the consistency you want and use it.

Weeeell ... it's a bit more flexible than "should be." Book seating depths (OAL) are what the team that developed the printed data used for that bullet in their own rifle so there's really no "should" be about it. In fact, if we stick to book...

The X-die has a case length limiter in the neck, i.e., a smaller diameter that hits the case mouth and collapses the neck into the shoulder. It does not because it can not cause the neck to spread back into the shoulder, it simply puts the extra...
