    Why is it so important to have a 30⁰ counter sink? Why not a 60⁰? With a 1/4 thick plate the 60⁰ is going to be larger at top. That just makes it easier for me to "hit the hole" {g}

    Are you sure a salt/ice mixture will be 32⁰F? A 20% salt/ice mixture will be around a -21⁰F if I remember correctly (unlikely). You mix the salt ice together it will melt some to actually have a ice/salt/water solution.

    Thanks for posting the video - sure looks like fun. While I'd LOVE to shoot that BREN, I think I'll pass on coming to your shooting range {g}

    Looks like you sure did a good job on rebuilding that old machine gun. Since you're in Afghanistan I'd guess the fully auto laws don't apply? Let us know how it shoots.

    I had no idea there were GPS units that didn't receive the sat, but used cellular signal. That's not much good, GOT to be sat signals would be my thinking.

    I've only done this once for a batch of WW - call it 100 lb. By the time I got the iron, zinc, etc out, and clean ingots I wound up with about 60 lb. Is that anywhere near normal results?

    KenH replied to a thread Railrod spike knife in Special Projects
    As been said the RR spikes are too low in carbon for good knifes. With that said, even the .30% carbon spike will harden to around 50Rc using a Super Quench solution. What some makers have done is forge a RR spike using "high carbon" (1080, etc)...
