I have some used moulds for sale. They are made by Northern Valley Machine for their Mark-X machine but they work on the Magma machines if the sprue plates are changed. PM me if interested. Sent fra min SM-G930F via Tapatalk

Magma sends out a j type thermocouple with an eye on the end, but it's not for a screw to go through. On my BM the eye was clamped to the wall of the pot and not through the eye. Sent fra min SM-G930F via Tapatalk

I'm with Fred here! Button nose wcs would not work. It's hard to get it to collate bullets that is that similar in both ends. It's difficult enough with some SWC types. That's why the only WCs I have are double end wadcutters. That way it don't...

Rebuild it to pneumatic pour and sprue/mould knockers. That way you could get all the parts from Magma. I'm sure they are helpful. They have always been to me. They have a great customer support. If you want I can snap some pics of my machine....

I think the problem could be the splicing of the thermocouple. I contacted Magma regarding a thermocouple problem some weeks back, and they told me that they could not be spliced. If they are they do not work right. When I installed a new...

Very interesting article! I have struggled with good fillout with my Magma 240 Swc moulds when running my Bullet Master. It got better when I turned the heat up by 30F. Maybe I'll try to open up my sprue plates. Sent fra min SM-G930F via Tapatalk

I can see that. That's not ideal. I allways set the pre-melt side about 50F lower than the pouring side. Sent fra min SM-G930F via Tapatalk

Sounds like you need a new temp controller or a new relay. Sent fra min SM-G930F via Tapatalk

Is the thermocouple ok? If it's burnt off the pid would stay on all the time at full blast. Sent fra min SM-G930F via Tapatalk

I've used a drill bit from the top and just drilled the hole bigger. The burres on the bottom can easily be removed with a flat file and a dremmel and some fine paper. I've used a dremmel and some grinding compound and deburr and polish to a morror...
