farmerjim replied to a thread Neck shot 100 yds in Cast Boolits

farmerjim replied to a thread deer skinning made easy in Our Town
I am spoiled. I shoot the deer in my back yard. Hoist into the bead of my truck. Drive 2 miles to my friends camp. Unload deer at sloped concrete floor 16 foot tall skinning shed. Hoist deer by hind legs with electric hoist. Make cuts on legs and...

I process them myself. The cost at the local processor is higher than prime beef in the store. I grind everything but the backstrap and tenderloin. I may make some breakfast and some Italian sausage this year. The ground goes into spaghetti and...

Hi-Tek is good and fast. There is a steeper learning curve than PC. All of the things that usually go wrong have been mentioned. The thing I have seen most often is too thick of a first coat. Don't give up, I messed it up a few times before I got it...

My wife was the receptionist just inside the door when we lived in Montreal. When she started they asked her what she would do if the bank was robbed. She said " I don't know, as I have never been in a Bank robbery. Three days later two guys came in...

I use templaq 400 to indicate when the boolits in my convection oven get to 400. With the oven at 425, the lee 358-125-RF takes 6 minutes + or - 30 seconds to reach a 400 degree surface tempature . I have put it on several boolits scattered around...

Pull a couple and check. I understand that it is the nitroglycerine in the double base powders that causes the trouble. Most of the pistol powders are double base. None of the 5 that I pulled had any deterioration on the PC. All were loaded with...

I have been going 11 to 12 minutes after the boolit is at 400 on the outside. This is 6 minutes to 400 as tested with templaq 400. I have dissembled powder coated boolits that were loaded over a year ago, and all have been fine. I worried about...

There is a natural crossing in front of my house. 3 or 4 are killed there every year. One morning there were 2 in my front ditch still alive. I shot them both (with cast boolits) and gave them to hunters for the hungry.
