I use a modified Lee 303 Brit collet and a larger mandrel. Still get the same results as Larry with the 308 die. One benefit of the collet die is that you save over working the brass, it sizes to correct size in one pass. The FL die sizes to small...

The original box for the O scales says Pacific div. Hornady the M box says Hornady but both have Pacific cast in the base. The O scales work fine but I bought them on bad advice from someone that understood nothing about magnetic dampening....

beemer replied to a thread Fun old singleshots? in Rimfire Area
I have had several over the years but somehow managed to trade them off. The one I miss was a Winchester 310, it was the last single shot 22 they made. Several years age I traded into a Rem 510, the gun was in beautiful shape with only a few...

I have both Model O and M Hornady scales and have been wondering the same thing. I started loading in the early 70's and I ordered the Model O from the factory, they said it was the last set they had. If I remember correctly they were about $21.00...

beemer replied to a thread target size in Military Rifles
As I got older the spots got larger, at about 5-6 inches now. I used to be able to shoot at 3 inch spots and do nickel size groups at 100 yds with my Swede and good hand loads but those days are gone, that was off a good rest of course. I have seen...

I like grilled pimento cheese sandwiches too. The cheese needs to be so hot you can barely eat it.

Knew a guy that of caught a lot of turtles with bank lines. He saved some of the white bits of meat and made a stew with milk and butter just like oyster stew. It was as good as oyster stew and that's saying a lot. Dad used to make a big pot of...

The Unertil would have the perfect look, or an old Fecker. An old Weaver V8 with external adjustments was as close as I could afford. Mine is a 25-20 and has an assortment of holes and came with a Redfield windage adjustable mount. It has had a...

I have two old Herter's measures, one has a 1/4 in. chamber and the other is 3/8 in. The 1/4 in is to small for Unique but fine for BE or ball powders. I just threw 20 charges at 6 grs. of Unique with the 3/8 chamber weighed each one. The average is...
