My 2¢ I would think that a thicker GC would be best if installed on a boolit with a smaller GC shank. If you were to size/crimp a thick GC onto a boolit with a GC shank that is the proper size for a proper thickness of GC, then I suspect you...

I have never noticed any issues with Lead and Lead alloy availability. with that said, Lead is a commodity and is (and always has been) subject to price rise and fall...but for our hobby purposes, those price changes are negligible.

This reminds me of the troubles I had, when I accepted a cashiers check from the Royal Bank in Scotland...it was the strangest looking paper check, almost no words/writing on it, just a holographic symbol on one side and "Royal Bank in Scotland"...

It appears I am part of the Lucky few, who live in a small town with a post Office that is rarely crowded with patrons. More than once, I had a MO that was too large for the cash in the drawer, so the clerk just asked the Post Master to get more...

yep, 1 Tablespoon to about 1 pound (US) would be my suggestion. Also, if your candle wax doesn't have any beeswax in it, I'd use a little less than 50% that's my 2¢

I didn't really modify one. Mine is a old used Dake (made in USA) that I got at a scrap iron yard, I cleaned it up and since it came without a Anvil plate, I made a custom Anvil from two 3/8 steel plates, to hold a FCIII gas check die.

I totally agree. and I'll add, a deformed boolit will still be accurate enough at short range. But once you start shooting past 25 yards the poor accuracy will be obvious.

Those are fine guns, Fred. I think you will enjoy it. I have a 625-4 5” and a 625-6 4” which started out as a full-lug 5” but now wears a Mountain Gun barrel. Both are great shooters. The Auto Rim is a good alternative if you don’t want to...

If this happened to me, and this new dealer was remorseful as you said, I'd take the full refund and not accept the holster. Then I'd remove the FB post if he requested that. I'd probably still go to this fella's shop, but would be leery about...

I haven't investigated the bottom of the Lee pot for a bottom mounted TC, but I would think it would be thin enough for mounting via a "through hole", with a nut on the inside. I wouldn't trust any JB weld or epoxy, unless it was rated for 1000º...

nah, that's the 50 cal (C501-440RF). When you look at the cavity size in comparison to the block size, it's difficult to imagine those blocks could be used with a larger pair of boolits...I wish Lee would have either made a single cavity, or used...
