I just moved 2200-2300 pounds of raw COWW, Linotype, Monotype, babbit, SOWW and ingots almost 700 miles. At 65 that may be enough to get me to the end of my competitive shooting.

No surprise. Lanolin is an excellent high pressure lube. Still, something is not as it appears to be. Either the measurements are off or the hardness is greater than estimated. Do you know anyone that has a hardness tester? If not you could...

Over crimping has already been discussed; here’s a little more. Your reloading manuals will show a mouth/neck O.D. which should be 0.380”. With commercial brass that should be the target crimp size. Over crimping not only reduces the boolit...

Yeah, the 5-0-2 is a disappointment and I agree about the manual. I still ordered one for a friend as a “Thank You” for all the help he selflessly gave recently. He’s used my 5-0-5 and I told him of the difference but it will get him started. I...

The guy I’ve been teaching to reload helped me finish packing the reloading room and a bunch more. He saved me from having to go back for another 1400 mile round trip.

As an IT professional I a mostly agree with Petrol and Powder but I don’t advise storing data on a USB drive. I’ve had to give bad news to too many people that thought USB drives were a good way to store data. CDs or DVDs are much more reliable...

There are many things that used to be great about NM. Unfortunately Johnho is right. The state is dependent on oil and gas revenues yet the new governor and legislature has passed many anti-oil laws. Santa Fe is a beautiful city with a summer...

I want to create some 10mm ammo similar to the 10mm lite load to shoot out of my S&W 610. How much difference would there be using 40 S&W load data in a 10mm case?

Huh? What? Yep, I did it to myself. Some of you might have noticed that my location showed “New Mexico/Baytown, Texas.” The first couple that looked at the NM house bought it. (With a 1300 sq ft shop what’s not to like?). The movers came on...

A ton of lead is only good for 50,000 to 100,000 pistol boolits depending on the weight. For a competitive shooter that's not a lot.

Parkerizing is very easy and will protect the slide very well. My Kel-Tec P-40 was starting to rust from carrying it. I blasted it with aluminum oxide to remove the rust and original finish and then Parkerized it. Parkerizing can be done on the...

Are you splitting hairs between AD and ND? I only ask because they are not the same thing. An AD can be due to a mechanical failure. I knew someone that had the nose of the sear break off in a 1911 with a full magazine. I have had a floating...
