I was unaware that Marlin made some 1894S (44mag) with a faster twist? I had a 1894S (44mag) that was made in the early 1990s, it had the 1:38 twist. to the OP, a 200gr boolit should be ideal for a 1:38 twist. I mostly used 240gr jacketed...

I have a 45acp Lee Pistol (carbide) FCD as well as several others that came with die sets. I've used them with jacketed bullets (and commercial cast bullets) back in the day, I don't really load any jacketed bullets in pistol ammo anymore. I quit...

I assume it's a "El Paso" ? (stamped as such?) I have a K10 El Paso on a Ruger #3, while it's a bit large for that small rifle, the scope tube is long enough to correct the position of the far forward mounts that plague the #3 (yeah, I suppose I...

The first thing I do with the screw on top containers is to wrap the sides with clear packaging tape. This keeps the sides from cracking as fast. Lafaun

I am actively looking for a 410 barrel. I have a 45 LC which has been reamed out to 454 Casull, but do not want to screw it up by making 410 shells fit. If you happen to have a 410 barrel, I would be interested. I have quite a collection of barrels,...

If the frame falls through, I would like second DIBS on it. I don't need any of the barrels. What you have is a nice GEN 1 frame. It's exactly what a buddy of mine needs to go with a Gen 1 barrel he has.

I've had 50 cal pistol checks by both Hornady and Gator. I'd guess they are the same specs. I only have one mold with GC shank. It's the Lee 440 RF. the shank on my boolit mold is undersized, both checks slide on too easily, and kind of crimp...

for 45-70? I got no idea? I bought it for a Ruger Old Army...poor performer...but I found it worked better putting it in the cylinder upside-down (flat side out)...but even then, it performed worse than round ball. I've never owned a 45-70,...

DO NOT reduce H110 or Win 296 by 60% again, I will state, there are too many "exceptions" to have a valid rule of thumb.

you need to be careful when extrapolating Data. There are too many "exceptions" to have a valid rule of thumb, and can quickly get into trouble. If you are unsure enough, that you feel the need to ask a vague question(as you did), I'd think it's...

The Die doesn't "seat" on the top of the die hole. The bevel on the bottom of the die "seats" against the bottom of the Die hole. I bet there is some crud on the inside beveled area, where the Die is suppose to mate to.

to specifically answer this question, there is no case length requirement...but... the crimp will always be the same distance from the case head, so if have a wide variation of case lengths and you get one that is way too short, you'll end up with...
