I have also found that Hoppe's #9 can work on things that alcohol, mineral spirits, & acetone fail at, and is considerably more plastic-friendly than acetone. As mild as it is, it's worth a try.

I literally drive right by two of my bank branches, twice daily. Their ATM's can take my MO's anytime day or night, and virtually always provide instant funds availability for subsequent checks or electronic transfers. My PO is a little out of...

That certainly is true; the 6.5 Carcano was the premier chambering for the most popular rifle platform in the US when all those those long-distance records were being made.

+1 on any range reports, particularly 50-yd & 100-yd testing. I have a case of this and am curious myself, but our rain has moved in for the winter (Oregon), so I may not take mine out until next spring. There is also a detailed discussion on...

2 lbs of SR4759. The only catch is that it is not in its original container, but I have reloaded w/ it & it behaves exactly as expected. $65 FTF in Western Oregon; anywhere between Salem and Eugene is quite convenient. Secondary consideration...

The interior ballistics of VV N110 is a bit of a mystery over here IMO; by all accounts it performs comparably to Hogdon H110 on the high end, but also performs very well with substantially-reduced loads unlike H110. Please keep us posted, :)

My sincere apologies if this is a dumb question, but you're sure that this is a muzzle break and not a flash hider yes ? It's just that "slots" make me think more of flash hiders, while "holes" are more often associated with muzzle brakes. Just...

Well, current exchange rates have 105 Pakistani Rupees (PKR) to the USD, so 10M PKR would only be ~$95K USD. But certainly enough to buy back the family farm in Pashtun. ;) Your ship just came in - and it's setting sail for Karachi. :drinks:

Thx, but not exactly the same however; sometimes poor thermal design will keep the heat inside an assembly, not permitting it to conduct to the surface where it can be removed via convection/radiation. For example, the exterior of a high-output...

It's all about thermal management (and the better builds costs more $). The often-quoted 50k hours spec for LED's has historically cited associated junction tests of 25 degrees Celcius IIRC. (To their credit, Cree has updated their rated...

+1 on Malkoff flashlights; I own some /very/ nice semi-custom ones, but for folks who want the best off-the-shelf, US-mfg lights, I always send them to Malkoff.

Red Dot, in the .223 case, sounds like .22Mag but can deliver 2350 fps w/ the 40gr vMax. It is my favorite .223Rem load, and is so incredibly accurate that most folks wouldn't believe it. :-)

When you scope your rifle, I would most likely be able to send you a set of RF dovetail rings, for free - which should accommodate most typical scopes. Just send me a PM anytime.
