All my handgun shooting is done with rather mild loads. I measure and trim brass for my .38 Special defensive ammo as I find these shells usually have inconsistent OAL. One trimming is usually all it ever needs. Auto pistol brass is rarely trimmed...

94 prices are even more volatile than gold. The price on the very nice 1978 model I have on layaway, described in another thread, was $400.00. Cabela's here in town wants $700.00 for a 1979 model with rust on the receiver and a sidesaddle scope...

My 1976 has the clamp on front swivel. Don't know if it was factory but it does match the gun quite well. I love the Texan, easily my favorite .30-30. Marlin should have never dropped it.

Anybody got some Lee 105's they can spare? I would like to try them, would prefer .357 or unsized. I would be happy to swap you some 102's or pay for them.

Randy, I have no doubt that you are correct. Still, no wiggly forends allowed on my lever actions. They are all more accurate than my shaky hands can produce anyway. I think the endcap and tenon style forend with a short mag tube is most accurate on...

I've always been surprised that these were not classified AOW as they aren't a rifle, shotgun, or handgun and could be considered a "concealed gadget device" like a walking cane gun or similar.

I worked for Sears from 1997-1999 and I don't think I've ever seen a company try as hard as they did to flush 100+ years of success and customer goodwill down the toilet. It's as if the decision makers said "We did it!! Our customers and employees...

Got 240k on my '04 Dakota 4x4 auto and no problems so far. Don't know if it shares a tranny with the bigger trucks or not, I always found Mopar rear wheel drive autos to be among the better ones out there. Mopar front wheel drive autos=garbage.

I was interested, and then I noticed the fat forend with a yawning gap between it and the receiver on the "custom" 1894. Oh Remlin...

You can buy a nice 464 for $300.00 or less. My first one I paid $220.00 for, the one I have now was $300.00 like new. I think the 464 is a better entry level .30-30 than the current Remlin 336W. They cost about the same and the 464 definitely is put...

I carry 3.1 grains Bullseye/Lyman 148 grain wadcutter/Federal primer in my S&W 637. It clocks a very consistent 712 fps, is very accurate and easy to shoot, and penetrates quite well. I think there is a point of diminishing returns with hot rod...
