When I have a couple of hundred dollars to throw away, I'll certainly do that. Though I'd rather that NFA34 gets repealed, in which case I'll probably build my own. I'm not holding my breath waiting. I've spent enough time around jet engines,...

You'll still need ear protection. They do not actually silence, they just reduce the sound level 30 or 40dB. That's from around 190dB. Check out the VSO Gun Channel on Youtube, search "pillow" and find "Pillow vs Silencer: Is it a Hollywood Myth?"...

Have you found the old Yahoo Groups that moved to Lot of help and support there. Also, look for a guy whose Youtube username is Mr. Pete222, and check out his videos of using lathes, and many other tools. Guy used to be a HS shop teacher....

If it is the flat point one then seat it so to where the nose is reduced diameter. You don't want the full diameter sticking out. The nose is reduced diameter so it will fit in most pistols because of the added diameter of the powdercoat.

I can understand that! I've been machining a little longer. Bought my HF 7x10 in 2008, and was puttering along, when and as I could. Didn't get nearly as far as I thought I should, and was griping about it to SWMBO one day in December 2014, and she...

I normally smelt about 50 pounds at a go and then pour into the old cast iron corn ear bread moulds. The moulds are all lined up on a pair of home made 6" channel iron saw horses to quickly draw heat out. When i am done a couple of taps face down...

I must not have sent the "I'll take it on the lathe dogs" though I've gotten the reply to the PM. Or maybe I did it backwards. Or something... Oh well. As long as it all works. Bill

Not only nothing special or bold about using smokeless as a kicker under black it is also as long a semi-smokeless and smokeless. The Rowland/Pope record is a good example.

I sold off all my 22's the last time too. I had well over 20K. I took it to a gun show and one dealer bought it all. Gave me $35/500 for it. I only wanted $20/500 but I never told him. That was on a Friday night we went. Saturday I told one of my...

That was essentially my point. Lots of folks have thought it was real near the end doesn't make it so. We may have to wait until no one worries about it anymore, or it may happen before the end of this day, and in any case it will be a surprise.
