This one flares about 1/8" or so of the case. Depending on the way you shape the tool, it can be made to do pretty much what ever you want. Ben

ThirtyThirty, Based on your comments, I think this home-made tool ( and a .312" dia. cast bullet ) would eliminate about 99% of your leading problems . The tool is made from a hardened bolt that was .372 " in diameter. I chucked the bolt...

Was your bullet gas checked ? You may have to go to .311 or even .312" to stop the leading in your Marlin.

Not being there with you , it will be hard for any of us to write a flawless prescription for success for you. I will say this, In my experience, the great majority of the time if I experience leading, it is caused by the bullet being too small....

Lighter fluid will work just fine to thin it. I now use a tall jelly jar ( glass ) with a rubber seal lid. My liquid lube doesn't dry out anymore. Ben

Most ( earlier in their 1st attempts to use BLL ) try to apply way too much of it on a bullet. It is amazing just what a small amount it takes to make accurate ammo that doesn't lead. ( assuming the bullet is large enough.....if the bullet is...

You'll be very surprised how well those shoot. If you want " double insurance " , a 2nd coat is fine also. Ben

You might want to make a drying rack like mine ? You can't see it in the photo , but I have a cheap fan on one end moving air. It really speeds up the drying process. ( That is 1/4 " mesh wire in the photo )

I think you have an error. You have the Lee 205 90775 listed as a 309 mold. I think that one is an 8 mm , .329 dia. mold ? ? Ben
