Wow! Lol I love this place. You guys still managed to find something to talk about. I originally started this thread for asking about CB in SKS with IMR 4227 loads. I moved it to CB loads for military rifles. IMR 4227 is a waste of time if you want...

Well IMR 4227 was a waste of time in my yugo 59/66. 17gr and not enough gas to even fully extract the case. Didn't bother going to 17.5gr Glad I took a pound of H335 with me. 20gr gave good extraction and locked the bolt back.

Thanks guys. I was not close enough. Glad I asked. Gramps is that a Lee load manual? Or the new Lyman cast bullet book?

What would you guys consider a starting load in 7.62X39 with .312 Lee 160 grain IMR4227 for a Yugo 59/66? I'm estimating around 15 grains starting to around 19 grains maximum. Am I in the right ballpark? Thanks
