I do not (yet) load for 357 SIG, but I like how it duplicates the 125 grain 357 Magnum ballistics so closely. As felon repellent, the 357 Magnum flat-out WORKS. I have fired the cartridge in Glock and SIG-Sauer full-size pistols; subjective recoil...

Ok I missed that they are powder coated, try heat treating them. It seems strange that only one out of every five does it though, but with mine as a lube problem it was the 5th shot always not random.

I've shot .433s in my SBH but as has been pointed out they were tight to chamber. No signs of pressure. I dropped back to .432 and that's done well for me./beagle

I am going to say it's your lube at that speed. I had something very similar going on with my home brewed lube and the 7.62x54r, multiple groups on same target, 5th shot out every single time. I tried adding ATF helped, then paraffin and fliers went...

Interesting colored wood, I can see a bit of striping in the butt. Looks as if stock has been refinished though? The one pictured on the Wiki link is just fantastic, tiger striped stem to stern!

One way to find out if the added pistol grip was a add on, is check to see where the circled P inspection mark is located. Normally, it'll be directly behind the bottom trigger plate. If the inspection mark is behind the grip, it's a true arsenal...

Natches sold off a batch of the .45/70 line throwing cases some years back. I bought a couple of hundred. They'd been pulled. WCC head stamp. I had a Number 1 Ruger .45/70 at the time so I processed what I could (many were dented beyond salvage...

You could try some 5-7 shot groups, maybe even more rounds would give a better picture. I see a typo in your data though you forgot the C in BL-C (2) or lot# 2 however your canister is marked. Have fun and enjoy, even if you are using those danged...

In revolvers and ESPECIALLY in rifles, the 180 grain bullets make the 357 Magnum into a real game-taker. Such a good, useful caliber.

I have owned a Number 1 Ruger and then bought a M1895 Marlin years back. Now, the Marlin still resides and the Number 1 is gone because the Marlin would outshoot it. Both the .45/70 and .38/55 acquired their reputation as big game killers with BP...

And, I'll throw another variable in the equation. Now, this is my own humble opinion. Bullet design also affects stability. Cases in point are the 148 grain wadcutter in the .38 Special. Loses velocity quickly past 50 yards. This is primarily...
