totaly agree. Im not even a fan of full power 556 for deer hunting. To me its more of a stunt then anything. People do it just to prove they can and dont much care if a deer suffers. If you want to kill deer with an AR get a 300 bo or some other...

Charlie gave you good advice....But starting with the bullet you want might be frustrating. Larger diameter and slower bullets are easier to get good results with.

usually if a boat is running on just the back side of the boat in the water your motor is trimmed up to much. With that little amount of the boat touching it no doubt would be squirrely. Its probably why you got such good speed out of it too.

i use it alot in 45 colts and 44 mags. Ive actually had better luck with accuracy with herco over the years, especially in the 45 colt then i have with unique. Only down side to it is its a bit dirtier burning.

I shoot my share!! I have a H&R single shot with a stubbed barrel from a SMLE Enfield so its twist is about 1:9. I shoot 140g MP HPs with 4227 into delightfully small groups and not make much noise. ;) CW

I am not a huge supporter of limits as I buy in bulk. But during these times of shortages I can see the rationale. Guys like me do not need to be stockpiling stuff as we already have plenty to last a long time. I nearly bought some Nitro...

When I was shooting competitively I did not have time to cast so I purchased cast bullets. Must have bought about 200k. If you have the time to cast, buy a Master Caster $1100. Molds are $100. You can cast 400-500/hr without a lot of effort...

Sounds like a "Body sizing die" might be the ticket in the future. Size the body of the case only. Glad you got it removed without any body injury!!

From my own personal experience there is a very good reason Speer warned “not to reduce that charge” with a J-word. It takes a bunch more pressure to get a J-word boolit to even exit the barrel as opposed to a lead boolit. In other words you might...

    You have a 108 degree v-block? That's rarer than 108 v-mics. Good discussion here http://www.texas-mac.com/Measuring_Groove_Diameters_of_Odd_Groove_Bores.html
