Yes Sir maybe ten years ago I would have agreed with the above statement, but now we have a number of custom mold makers who can turn out 5 + cavity molds,so the H&G was the best in their day,but it's changed since then.

If you can locate a sawmill check and see who they get their nickel Babbitt from. That stuff is 96 or more % tin. One ingot may last you a long time. I used to get it from the supplier when I worked at the sawmill. I even made boolits from straight...

Years ago ( the last time I smelted w/w ) I kept the heat kinda low and did scoop up whatever floated. This time I'll just amble along and take my time. I still have a third of a plastic milk jug crate full of ingots, and it's still too hot to be...

I hate when they flush it with Benedryl. It leaves a bad taste/ smell or something in my mouth unless I pinch my nose shut. I've been either blessed or stupid, but I haven't had to go back to the hospital in over a year!

I went to the shed to sort some weights, but didn't stay long. Even with the a/c it was unbearable. Most of the stick-on weights were iron. I tried to rummage through awhile using the side cutters to see what cut and what didn't, but was mostly...

The last time I got, or bought, w/w was when zinc w/w were a new thing, and we seldom had to worry about them. Now I'll have to go through these with the side cutters. WTH, I'm retired. If the weather cools off I'll have something to do outside.....
