I have read that about using one for bait, but I'm not quite that good a shot. I either blow it in half or they all fly away. So I'm going to try the calling.:)

Which crow calls will bring them in? Currently I'm looking at this one as an electric call. I live down in a swamp and it has hills on 3 sides, so I don't think a super loud one is necessary to pull in the local birds. I'm not wanting to make a...

For one, it's going to be expensive. If you had a buttload of pewter, you could sell it and buy all the bullets you would need and have gun money left, or just buy a LOT more lead or just cast your own boolits from certified alloy if you wanted. ...

I ran the patched bullets through a Lee .309 sizer. It looked good. And I'm using a moderate load of H380. I'm getting tired of heavy recoiling loads.

There was a place I hunted years ago where the spiders made webs across the logging roads. Big strong webs, and the spiders were a huge brown fuzzy thing sitting right in the middle. I hated walking into them.

In Georgia if you are driving it needs to be "hands free", and is illegal for the phone to even touch your body. The only exception is an emergency. If you are parked then you can call. $50 for the first offence, and more as the offences mount. In...

This looks like a project that's going to take some trial and error, and I will keep my eyes on this thread. It's the first time I've tried it. I hope I don't blow my rifle up!

I was coming onto the back deck after loading some rounds in the shed and I saw on my butterfly bush a huge but half broken spider web. I noticed the thick white squiggly pattern in the middle and knew there was a Garden Spider somewhere. I found...

I didn't do that. I've never tried it before, and the paper is up to the case mouth. If I didn't mark them I probably wouldn't know which ones they are. I don't suppose it will be a problem? The rifle is an NEF 30/30.

The Lee mold that you mentioned was the first one that I bought, many long years ago. A single cavity at that. Now, while I've never shot anything with my 30/30, I used to load up two boxes every year for my now deceased hunting buddy, and he's...

So some of you , if you would, post some pictures of what a finished product is supposed to look like. Does the paper have to extend past the case mouth?

Loaded three 30/30 rounds with the paper patch boolits. I ran them through the Lee sizer , dipped them again in JPW and put a mild load of H380. I dunno when I'll get to try them. I also loaded a box of 9mm, using sr primers instead of sp primers,...
