While looking through some old once fired 30/30 brass I had I found one case that was nickle plated and the headstamp had "76" on it and then the caliber. I think it is Winchester brass, but I don't know for sure. No, I haven't taken a picture of it.

I cleaned and sized the 9mm brass that was given to me at the range yesterday. All once fired . Then I did the same with the 30-06 A.I. brass I fire formed. The 30/30 A. I. Brass I just punched out the primers as I don't have a die set yet, then...

Although I can't remember the name of the publication, back in the early 70's there was a magazine where the people went into a LGS and bought firearms otc and then tested them. They didn't want (according to them ) firearms that may have been "...

Well, I wanted it. I'm not trying to make it into a .308. I just kill paper with it. And I'm happy with it. I like my 30-06 A.I. too. It's not about a "bigger hammer" or even a need. No competition shooting, just a relaxing time at the range for a...

If you want to try it, go on ahead and try it. The worst that could happen is a light ball. It's not like you will be using it against living things, and it should penetrate your target. Have fun and experiment!

I was making mousefart loads for my 30/30 A.I. to fire form brass. I like to shoot targets when fire forming so I loaded up some with my ancient 160 gr Lee boolits and 6.6 grains of Bullseye. They were finger lubed with some old RCBS rifle lube I...

This Saturday I'll be going to the range again. I have a bunch of loads to fire form, both for my 30/30 A.I. and my 30-06 A.I. I don't know if I'll shoot my pistol or not. I AM taking my rests and spotting scope this time. I'll probably shoot @ 50...

I have both the LAM -II and the Lyman heater. I use Carnauba Red on everything, except for my fireform loads for 30 cal. I found and ancient stick of RCBS rifle lube so I've been finger lubing , gas checking, sizing w/ a Lee sizing die and dipping...

Bullseye powder for Cast practice firings. 4227 for serious rifle jacketed & G/c use. As far as the best brass? Although there are many to consider. I still prefer Federal & Win over all those others including Starline.

For hunting loads with G/C cast . After many powders tried {4198 3031 4064 4320 748} I found AA-2230 gave my 94 its best 100 yrd grouping. 2230 was again outstandingly accurate in my 1899 T/D 30-30. {A noticeable difference.} The Savage did require...
