Indeed, it was a short time. What a great loss. I really valued his commentaries.

Alliant's cowboy load is 8.5gr with a 230gr boolit. There are no listed loads at 6.5gr Unique. Personally I wouldn't feel comfortable shooting repeat shots using a load that far below the cowboy load, which is already a light load. But to each his...

I agree with MaryB, some people just have more addictive traits than others. I take opioids for acute pain (Tramodol and Percodan), and have done so for years. I take breaks so that it doesn't lose effectiveness and I don't take more now than when I...

Sanders lead in Troy , Alabama may have some. They recycle batteries. When I worked at the sawmill I'd get a 60 lb. ingot every so often and mix it with w/w or Ni.Babbitt. Or, you may check with a local sawmill in your area and see where they get...

Look good. If you're going to kill paper a few little wrinkles won't hurt, and as you saw, when the oil burns out there are usually very few, unless your mold gets cool. Don't worry if they get frosted, that won't hurt anything.

Put gas checks on the boolits I cast the other day. After I did, I weighed some and they all ran around 157.1 or 2. Micrometer said 311 as cast, so I put another coat of JPW on them and stood them up to dry. It was really warm, even with the a/c on....

Got it. 'Sounds like a billion crickets/cicadas that get louder and softer in waves and it never stops. I live back in the swamp and when I go outside at night, I can never tell if it's them or me that I hear.

I'll pick up a Handloader if I can find one, and subscribe to G&A. It's not as good as it used to be, I suspect it's because of all the black rifle articles, and I never warmed up to them. Nor do I want an Aimpoint optic. But I still read it. Maybe...

Got it mostly from being a " Man" back when I was young and stupid. The 22 years at the sawmill didn't help any, even with the supplied yellow ear plugs. I mostly just ignore it, it's constant, 24/7 noise, and the hearing tests show the same thing,...

It sure is prettier.... I have some, mostly for my 30-06 A.I., and find some for the 9 mm, but in my confused opinion it doesn't last quite as long as plain brass. I know it doesn't in pistol and revolver ammunition. At least that's been my...
