Not me. I just tote a few ball around in my front pants pockets for a couple days. Those ball nubs flatten out so nice you can't tell where they once were. Perk is. When no one is watching to can grab three or four ball and fondle in your hand...

Most who have cast for a long while know where to buy their lead at reasonable prices. And too know what hardening alloys to be on the scout for. As many of those alloys are found in unusual items & places.

Cut the breech end just beyond the bulge and re-thread its breech. Although I highly doubt whom ever does the cutting will get those barrel to breech Flats to match-up again without their re-file and barrels re-bluing. OK _once done. Call it your...

Have only one Renegade 54. It's my designated maxi shooter. With experimentation I found there is a slight dia. difference between Lyman & T/C cast. Once I learned that. My rifle was targeted with T/C maxi cast only. Those Lyman maxi molds I...

Looks to be an H & G 130, 185 gr. 45 ACP boolit. Knock the lead out\off and soak it in CLR as per instructions. A mild toothbrush to scrub it and heat it up some to remove the moisture. Then oil the handle, set and hold down screws with marvel...

I use this product (link) Haven't incurred a freezing of it when out and about on the scout in my woods and I hunt probably better than 1000 miles North of you in December. Although I've tried many other lubes and home-made concoctions of. Nothing...

Woods boomer. My neighbor has one. One mile away and I hear it go off every deer season opening day {morning} just like clock work. I figure that first box of shells he bought last him 20 yr. I don't think he reloads. But if he intends to go on...

Ah that the way to do it. Your a good man there fordwannabe keeping that Jess feller busy. If I didn't already own a 32-40 L/barrel 1894 no doubt I'd get Jess to re-bore one of my 32s carbines to 38-55. Who knows maybe some day that might just...

I would think its a tough re-bore decision. A 38-55 or 35-30? I haven't done any research lately which has the better stats? Although many do the 35-30 for its encroachment on the 35 Rem stats. That ol 38-55 cartridge still manages to keep...

I have T/Cs rifles and few lyman molds. T/Cs get used their lymans don't. Over time I found on EBay and purchased 2 or 3-T/C made {long discontinued} N.I.B maxi molds for my two favorite calibers. Over years of experimenting with Maxi's. I...

The first time I seen 1/4 "plastic tube used on a 1/4 X 28 nipple was to protect its B/P Cap mounting on a #11 rifle nipple done to eliminate (rain wet'ed) miss-fires. Never dawned on me to exchange a B/P Cap with small pistol primers. I wonder if...

I started my shooting days looking for a conical bullet to work in my T/C 54 Hawken. Although I had the rifle sighted in quickly so to shoot P/RB accurately to 100 yards just after its purchase. Easy peasy to do not having different Ball weight's to...
