Looking to buy plates to clamp a 1911 frame (in a vise) along with a mag well insert. Not looking for plastic nor suggestions on how to secure the frame without the plates. I know they're out there but am having no luck finding same. Thanks...

Drops bullets at .314 which should be about right for the .303 British but not for any of my rifles. Double cavity Lyman Ideal mold with handles and in its original box with original wax paper; ie it's been well cared for. $65..00 TYD in the...

Am sizing bullets that drop out of my mold with my alloy at .4565. Chamber throats are at .4560. Bought a .454 H&I die which sizes to .456. As an experiment, I ordered a .454 push thru from Lee which came today. Bullets sized with the Lee...

I have slightly over 16 pounds of bar solder which is unmarked as to content. Some bars are complete and some are partial. Let's call it 50/50 although some are harder (more difficult to bend) than normal 50/50. Some sticks are dirty, but that'll...

Long story short: can water quenched clip on ww spring back after going thru a sizing die??? Mine apparently do to the tune of .002 in a 454 sizer. Drop out of the mold at .456.5 and come out of the sizer at .455.5 or thereabouts. Measuring the...

JRLesan replied to a thread solder alloy in Lead and Lead Alloys
Lead sticking to the cast iron pipes while caulking a joint was NEVER an issue. The inside of soil pipe hubs has/had a groove for the lead to 'flow' into while caulking. Still have occasion to pour a joint every so often but it's been a couple of...

Can't find any details on this mold in any of the 4 Lyman 'Cast Bullet' reloading manuals nor a 1982 Lyman catalog nor the current 2017 catalog. Would like to use the bullet in a 6.5X55 Swede carbine. Not looking for load data but rather the...

Have run across this mold and was wondering if it would be suitable in a 6.5X55 Swede carbine. Can't find any mention of that mold in the 4 Lyman Cast Bullet manuals nor a 1982 Lyman catalog nor the current 2017 Catalog. Input on that particular...

Be advised; what's it worth and value have little meaning in the real world. What counts is what someone else is willing to pay at any given moment in time...

Thanks for all responses. Here'sw what I found: Fleabay - prices all over the map but $13.00 shipping included was the best deal. Midway was $7.00 plus whatever they charge for postage which is usually high. Chapman at $6.50 plus $4.00...

For the 450 sizer. Mine's around here someplace cause I never throw anything out, but haven't located it in 28 years of looking (off and on). Don't need suggestions on what else works - just want the original back home.

Gee, I never thought of that. I'll head out to the shop right now, chuck up my 191 Lyman top punch (which I just happen to have) in a collet in my lathe and turn it into a flat punch. How simple is that? All I really ever wanted to know was a...

Thank you. Mold hasn't arrived yet but I do have the 191 punch so shouldn't have to mess with epoxy or a flat punch. Where can I locate the top punch chart that you apparently have access to???
