I had posted an ebay link to it, figured it was Ok since the auction had clearly ended and I already had the item, but I guess not. I'll try to get a picture of it back up without using the ebay link.

Just so happens I have a couple of them, but they're in pretty poor shape. Gonna need to take the time to soak everything and clean them up to see whether I want to mess with them or not.

OK, I see. I got it needing an over size 8mm die. I slipped it in the 450 and managed to size a few with it, obviously it's not gonna lube them. I was thinking a guy could turn that flange off somehow and it would work in the 450. Gotta check...

OK, I always thought the 45s used the same dies. I was wondering if this is a Herters?

does this die go to? There's a flange on it that keeps it from really working on a Lyman, but otherwise, it seems dimensionally correct.

I have shot the Lee C430-310 out of mine with W296, so you should be OK with the RCBS boolit and H110. I wouldn't start at max though, and be sure to have a good grip on it!

I have used a hatchet and an axe to cut up thicker sheet lead. Put it on a splitting stump. For 1/4" or thinner, the score with utility knife, fold and break method mentioned above works pretty well.

I might be wrong in my assumption but I read it as the friend barreled the rifle, not made the barrel that was installed. If that was the case, a barrel like the GM 14 twist octagon barrel might have been the replacement. Regarding the slugged...

Some of my older reloading manuals list loads for "Ruger and T/C Only". This was before the Encore was developed. Having said that, the advice to not start with max loads, and work up is still good a good rule of thumb.

I don't expect him to make it for long, being married to someone for 73 years and being as close as they were. The Bushes are classy people and I know a lot of people didn't think him a good president, but he was the commander in chief my first...

Some are. You just have to look around. BTW - that match bullet has been bumped to its new nose shape, but it was cast on the mold pictured.

I am right handed, but now have to shoot lefty because of eye problems. I shoot a right handed percussion 54 Deerstalker with no issues at all. It was a re-adjustment for me, but I am comfortable with it now.

I hear you. A lot of people feel this same way. Pan lubing can be the easiest, fastest, least messy way to lube, but, you have to know how. Powder coat does not work for BPCR. For pistol shooting, once setup to do a lot, it may be a good way...

Nice! Not sure why, but I've had the itch to get an Arisaka for a while now. I don't want a serious collector, just a shooter, but I would like it original.

Classy lady. They were married 73 years, they don't make folks like that anymore.

I got bored Sunday and the weather sucked, so I made some 8x57 cases out of old GI .30-06 brass. It was easier than I thought and since I haven't managed to scrounge any brass yet, it'll do. I got a .328 die for my Lyman 450 in the mail today. ...

If you are new to using a nose pour, getting full complete sharp base full out is often the problem. You might have to make some small changes to the way you do things. With the Hoch for instance, getting the base to fill requires the base plate...

posts 10 and 15 are on to it. No mess at all. (how can that be you wonder?!) BUT, like anything, (like casting) if you don't know how to do it, it will be a mess and working it out on your own takes some persistence. There is so much bad info on...

I understand your point of view. However, if you are an NRA competitor, you know it is just the sanctioned NRA BPCR silhouette matches that have the 1896 rule and the additional rule about hammers. All other matches either allow them or if not, it...
