Someone fairly close to me has had a Ponses Warren 800B along with a couple of other shotgun loaders for sale on facebook market place. They are asking for offers. The PW looks like it's going to need a resto kinda like the one the OP has posted,...

I was looking at one of these in a LGS the other day, they look like a good, robust little rifle. I think Arsmcor is the same operation that used to be called Squires Bingham and made .22 rifles and shotgun for imports for years. Atwoods sells...

My walking around rifle is a Savage 219 in .22 Hornet, but with cast loads, my 219 in .22 Hornet would be good too. Might want to look fr a Savage 23 in .25-20 or .32-20. I was looking at a Ruger American in .300 Blackout a while back that...

Congratulations. Our muzzle loader season here is over, but it's a great time to be out. For a long time, Kansas wouldn't allow scopes, now they do and then made archery season start the same day. It's still usually a ghost town out on the public...

That RCBS bullet is a good one. I've shot a lot of them in my .358. Yours is a good shooter.

This also reminded me of something after shooting mostly cast on my range here at the house; a full house .30-06 is a rather formidable thing. That rifle is no lightweight, but holy cow it's loud and kicks hard.

In many respects, I'm less of a purist than I used to be. When I got into bowhunting, I'd have never dreamed of even a compound, used a long bow, cedar arrows and Zwickey broadheads. Kansas legalized crossbows a few years ago and I broke down and...

As a kid, we used to take Summer trips out to Big Bend in west Texas and one of the trails, The South Rim, took us way up and you could watch them flying pretty much at eye level. They are extraordinarily graceful flyers, quite majestic actually,...

I love this! Not that much of a shotgunner, but I like the old ones and on the public land I hunt, it's mandated non-toxic shot for everything now. That pretty much relegates all the grandpa guns to wall hanger status unless you shoot Bismuth. ...

I'd load it and shoot it. Got powder from Dad that old or older, works fine.

Some deer hunts stand out in memory, for example, the buck I killed with cast in a .308 Savage 99 is probably my most perfect deer hunt ever, everything went right, he wasn't the biggest buck I ever took, but a pleasing hunt. Today is probably...

I would recommend having their oxides analyzed before telling everyone what alloy constituents they (for sure) are. Just saying! You might be surprised that the often repeated internet lore turns out to be less simple. I hope I have not stirred...

Sportsman's Warehouse here does the same thing. I think when they scan ammo items at the register, it automatically gives them a prompt to ask for DOB.

I use the Lee C309-170F with excellent results in the 300 Win Mag. I use A5744 powder to push it to @1950 fps with outstanding accuracy. If the rifle is scoped he will likely need to re-adjust zero, no big deal.
