I re-read everything twice. Has this quote been removed from the above thread? Baseline info about the ability of the rifle to shoot something accurately will be helpful. Factory or otherwise. The results of Post #5 should hopefully say a lot...

The load data I have is from my Lyman manuals from the '70s and are all on the light side, been shooting in the 8-9 grains of Unique and 700X which is close to their max loads. Marlin chambered their action for the .375 Winchester, so pretty sure I...

I don't turkey hunt, probably should take it up as many as there are here. Kansas only allows shotguns or archery. Oddly, I have been shooting my .38-55 a bunch the past few days. I got a rifle someone made on an old waffle top with a very...

Same thing as Winchester 760. Haven't used much of it for a while, but when I was still shooting jacketed bullets, it was the best stuff I found in my 6mm and worked real well with 165 grain bullets in the .30-06 too.

For sure use loading data from a good source, but I have found it is basically a clean substitute for Unique. I keep a large jug on hand because it is useful in both light revolver and BP era rifle rounds. So I would agree with the above post...

This sounds good for bullet too. For just pulling bullets that I don't want to bugger up the nose on.... Good Idea! to put an ear plug (foam) in the bottom of the kinetic bullet puller hammer. I like it! Now, if I can just remember it.

That load I listed for 4320 does not cause any problems, is accurate at 100 yards, far as I've tested it, and it did in a nice white tail doe very effectively one year for me. Looking at the Hornady manual I keep handy, that load is about 3...

My mold is a Lyman Sabot Slug. I have some original Winchester Red wads WAA12R. Herco and blue dot are my usual powders. I fill the cavity with hot glue and stick a 20 ga nitro card on the base while glue still hot.

Okay, the caliber makes sense on a long range creedmoor rifle but what is the Weber breach seater doing? ...Breach seating a full case of 2-6/10"? I use to have a 2-6/10 SS too. May get one again some day. My Axtel 1877 is a 40-70SS. Very...

Not 4064, but very close. My .358 Savage 99 really shined with 40 grains of IMR4320, a tuft of dacron filler on top and the NOE clone of the RCBS 200 grain flat point. Shoots very well for me.

That old style Bator is a good one if you can find one. I like NOE's 45 grain WFN design. All I shoot with it is low velocity stuff, so my mold is all plain based.

The B mold looks to be more universal, how many cavities and what rifle? I am sure you will have fun with a 350gr.

This is very true. 456192 / 457192 This is the standard bullet for .45-75 and .45-70 Winchester. (PB, 350 - TP is 191) I am something of a 45 cal rifle bullet accumulater. I came across one a few years ago but it is in only Okay shape. ...

It will take at least one stick to fill the lower part of the lube reservoir, and another to fill the tube. That particular Lee boolit has very shallow lube grooves, one stick would go a very long, long way. To be honest with that boolit (and just a...

My Dad shot cast in the two I remember him having for a while, don't recall any problems. Not sure how much he shot them. People tell you that about M1 Carbines and the SKS too and yet, there are a lot of guys who do and have no problems.

Looks like that is right by the bolt cuts and nipples location on the cylinder. NEAT conversion! I would love one!

This is the same conclusion I came up with doing basically the same experiment. For a number of years I cast the same alloy out of a dedicated LEE 20 lb pot. The alloy was 96-2-2 Pb-Sn-Sb. I cast other alloys from other pots but purposely did...
