Well the best thing maybe is the follow on sandwiches. Soft bread with mayo, mix of dark and light turkey, a thin layer of that herbed stuffing, salt and pepper, maybe a slather of cranberry with the mayo if the mood strikes. Mmmmmmmmm

The giblets and neck are cooked in water and then minced. That goes in the gravy with the pan drippings. Some family does it that way and some don’t.

Our tradition is a saged bread stuffing in the bird but there is a casserole dish with more that gets basted with bird juices. I like corn bread stuffing too but thanksgiving is regular stuffing. My sister will spruce hers up with mushrooms or...

If I am at the homestead I will gut the deer in the garage or driveway off the tractor bucket. No need to drag the opened carcass on the ground when it’s just a few extra minutes. Saves some risk of contamination. I started doing that when a...

Yep. I was never a recoil junky per se but I know I shoot more precisely when recoil, gun fit and me having a good day is all together. I have days where my normal garand load was inconsequential and others where my position was different due to...

Geissele is what I have. A Rock river nm in the other. The older RRA NM were famous for springs losing weight as mine did. If you have to make minimum weight in a match keep an eye on it. Nothing worse than to “win” a match only to get weighed...
