If you leave some evidence of the sprue on the RB I'd bet you would find no dif. on the target or on performance.

I use a concrete mixer to wash, dry, tumble with graphite, another secret to getting round shot is to use the proper coolant that is the right thickness, too thick will give you shot with tails, too thin solution will give you shot with dents in it.

Very nice classic rifle, butt may be low for scope use.

IMHO a good springer, like the earlier mentioned tx200 is a better made rifle then any of the Benjamin/Crossman guns. My springers are not hard to cock, very accurate, and I've had the same Hawke scopes on my TX and HWs since day one.

My TX200 is factory around 14 or 15 fpe and I feel that as long as I'm happy with the accuracy give me more vel. especially for the long range shooting of gophers out here. The Brits are stuck at 12 fpe and I think they should fight for the right to...

The smokeless 45/70 is king of the hill, the best loads all use cast bullets, you save lots there, the 45/70 is one of the few rifles that is more effective with open sights, so you save money there. Buy the gun, check out Skinner peep sights and...

Prolly the best bang for a buck is the DIANA (RWS) 34, a well made springer at a good price, maybe not quite a HW97 or TX200, but better than most imports for under $200.

The NOE is .455" and doesn't fit, the factory JSB 50 gr. are only .375 " or so and of course they fit.

I agree with some of the others, I'd take the TX200 over 10 cheapos, also the good springers like Air Arms, Weirauch, RWS will serve you better, be more accurate and cheaper to operate then all but the best PCPs costing thousands. I have an HW97,...

Some of the big bores only get 2 shots on a fill and to me that is not enough for out hunting and the bigger cals. are supposed to be for quiet hunting, my .30 is a Daystate Wolverine that shoots .30 cal. pellets of 50 grs. at 960 fps. but only gets...

These cast pellets do not fit the Daystate Wolverine mag. but I'm fine single loading them.

I have the 4 cav. 30 cal. mold and it is great to work with, by far my best mold of the HB or HP type, the bullets shoot almost as good as the JSB 50 gr. pellet but I have a lot of experimenting to do, for example the hard cast shot better than the...

I like 20-1 and it is easy to whip up using pure lead and solder, do the math for proper amounts.

WE used it in the Canadian army and I found the cartridge great but the rifle was too heavy, barrels were worn badly on the guns I was issued.
