It is amazing how fast it all disappeared. I've looked online and on the shelves of my local businesses and empty is mostly what I find. Glad I learned to save when I could. Component availability runs in cycles just like elections. They are the...

I've no AR in 7.62x39 but in my M X Mauser and Russian SKS, both with 20" barrels, I use the Lee 312-155-RN GC'd and lubed over 27 gr H4895 in Winchester or IMI cases. Runs 1850 fps and knocks down full size rams at 200 yards......with authority.

Aguila actually makes quite a few different varieties of 22LR ammo. Some of their Match ammo is top notch.

A GC'd bullet will best serve your needs. I found the GC'd 429215 can be driven to 1800+ fps safely out of 20 - 24" barrels with excellent accuracy and deadly effect on deer out to 200 yards.

Over the years I've shot a lot of 429421s out of several M94s. H4227 (23 gr) consistently gave the best accuracy in the 1500 - 1600 fps over any other magnum level load. However, for the best accuracy at the highest safest psi level a GC bullet...

Contender 21" Carbine in .223 Rem. 225415 cast soft loaded over 2.1 gr Bullseye in LC cases with CCI 400 primers runs 1050 fps and with the GemTech suppressor is quieter than my pellet rifles. Wonderfully accurate and more deadly on game/vermin...

No, the intent was to be able to use the cherry to cut cavities for the different weight by adjusting the depth it went into the mould blocks. The cherry, depending on the weight desired, was adjusted for depth in the mould with the different drive...

That was 5-6 years after i tested them. Obviously Hornady improved them, which is good. The two deer I shot with them in the early 70s were smaller black tails (probably 125 +/- lbs). Both were behind the leg through and through lung shots. The...

H380 obviously isn't the most popular powder for the 7.62x54R, but you should still be able to get it done safely. There is plenty of data out there, a quick google search "H380 powder in 7.62x54R" pulled up quite a few results. I'd rather not try...

I sometimes have it happen when using brand new brass. Maybe try chamfering the inside case mouth slightly, and check to see that you are getting adequate flair from your expanding die.

I can remember when I was a store manager for Academy in Huntsville TX we had pallets on the main floor stacked 5 an6 high of cases of ammo both rifle and shotgun. I saw this coming back in 2012 when. Obomo got re-elected. I'm glad I opened a small...

F.A.R.T and S/S pins (5lbs.), filled with warm water, 1/4 teaspoon of lemi shine and a good squirt of dawn. All load runtime depends on how dirty. I never let cases sit in solution when tumbling is done. BAD FOR BRASS. I find this new...

Not a problem with that twist, it's the slower 1 in 30 somethings that give stability problems with the heavier bullets.

Quite true. In the slower twist rifle with loads that just barely stabilize the loads giving a semblance of accuracy at close range are poor performers as the bullet stability drops off at longer ranges as the velocity slows down. With short...

Simply a question of barrel twist. The M788 has a 10" twist. Thus, like all other 10" twist barrels the best cast bullet accuracy is going to be below 1950 fps. If you were pushing above that for a "hunting load" then that is probably the reason...

Yours, like my own M700V purchased in '72, no doubt has a 12" twist. While it will shoot the 62 gr M855 w/o any problem accuracy will be poor if existent at all. Been there, done that......

Ruger, Winchester, Remington, Savage, CZ, ARs, et al, actions are not "proofed" for any individual cartridge. They are all made to the same strength standard regardless of the cartridge's MAP. All of them are chambered with for cartridges that can...
