My go to powder is Leverevolution. It will give top velocity and accuracy with lower pressures than many other powders. Jacketed or cast, this stuff really shines in the 30-30. 3031 is a time proven performer, but LVR is hands down my favorite.

Here lies your problem/s as I see it. Primers falling out = Might be time to toss the brass due to enlarged primers pockets. You could try a different brand of primer to see if they fit tighter. Range pickup brass = There's usually a reason it's...

While not a 6.5 Swede, Iv'e been using that mould with good results in a 6.5 Bullberry Contender barrel with decent results. This round is based on the 30-30 Win, shortened and necked down. It casts a nice boolit for me, as do all my RCBS molds. The...

The SAAMI MAP for the 35 Rem is based on the original ammunition time pressure curve as developed for the Remington for their recoil operated M8 semi-auto rifles. Basically higher pressure loadings in that rifle can cause malfunctions and/or damage...

I clean mine from the muzzle using a bore guide. I surely hope I haven't been doing it wrong all these years! BTW, I clean my M1 Garands and M1A the same way. The rod never contacts the barrel/crown. If I'm in the field I might use a bore snake.

B R Shooter I understand what you're doing, no problem. Only suggestion I have is, since the owner obviously reloads, is to get 3 - 5 fire formed cases from the owner. Measuring how much those cases protrude from the barrel breach face. That...

Yeah, I'm aware of the issue. My solution is a little JB Bore with a nylon brush. Cleans it right up. I don't let it accumulate...I think that is the biggest problem. Thanks for the reminder though.

One thing that surprised me about these 22 Shorts is that my Old Model Single Six is a bit finicky with 22LR ammo. It's not nearly as finicky with the 22Mag cylinder. These 22 Shorts shot so well that I really don't mind spending a little more for...

I saw CCI 22 Short CB Caps there too today. They also had some 22 Long (not LR), I didn't get any though. I'm not really sure what the difference is, maybe just the velocity I suppose. I was able to get a couple more 100 packs of the 22 Short Target...

Back in the '70s I had a 4 5/8" barreled Ruger 357/9mm. I did like it and found, just as Outpost75 mentions, that with .357 sized bullets accuracy was on par with 38/357 loads. I found milsurp 9mm was moa of grouse out to 25+ yards and the bullets...

I have never tried Elmer's load of 22 grains because the 21 grain load is very hot! kingri You might want to check that powder weight and make sure it is 21 gr. That is really not a "hot" load under a 250 gr cast.
