My M23B 25-20 was already D&T'd when I got it (it was well done) so I found some Weaver bases that allows a 2.5 Weaver scope in low Weaver rings to fit perfectly. I use 2 cast bullets in mine; the Lyman 257420 GC'd cast of COWWs +2% tin and WQ'd. I...

OP posted sufficient information in his 1st. post and stated what the test was for and what results he was looking for. Getting two different average velocities with two completely different bullets of the same weight over the same load is normal.

I have some that I bought already a little rusted. The steel wool route worked, for the most part. I keep them oiled and in a baggie separate from my other ones. They work perfectly fine though.

xlox and Lee alox are both good boolit lubes, however your boolit diameter is going to be the most important thing to avoid leading. Size to .358 for the 105 and .452 for the 45 and you should be OK. I use it with the Lee 105 and Lee 148 WC with...

30calflash If your Marlin has a 20" barrel then 200 yards is realistic with the 150s using LvR powder. With the 160 FTX Hornady 250 is very doable. If you've a 24" barrel then 300 yards is certainly possible. With a 20" barrel expect...
