Have the same rifle/223hb. Bought it to see if a cheap rifle ($321 with tax - $50 rebate - $50/sold scope that came with it ='s $221 total). Didn't alter anything, heck never even adjusted the trigger on it. Tested home made bullets made from free...

Never had any issues with small/thin lands in bbl's. I have a couple of custom 1 in 10 twist bbl's that have extremely small, thin lands for 357's (4" & 6"). They easily handle anything from mild to wild. Some recovered bullets shot from...

Sometimes it's best to start over. Don't know what type of targets you're using, I like to use square targets with iron sights. Typically the square targets will have 2 squares/contrast (black/white). I don't care what the yardage is that they are...

just another opinion: Mixed head stamps ='s different case volumes and more importantly, different neck tensions on the bullet. Couple that with different #'s of times fired/work hardening of the cases or same # of firings and differences in neck...

Agreed ^^^^^ I tend to put in any post I do that has a single group on a piece of paper: "Not hand picked/cherry picked by any means, the target is nothing more then the test target used to test that load" As far as the rpm/alloy/can/can't...

Hard not to find an accurate bullet for the 44spl's, shot a lot of different designs over the decades. Shot anything from the keith's already mentioned to the thompson designs like the 429215/429303/h&g#142. Any wc bullet does extremely well in the...

The Ness bullet has a huge hp. The is extremely long/deep, it extends to the top of the bottom drive band. It's pretty hard to get these bullets to mushroom + stay intact. I had only fair results with 10bhn alloy when driving these bullets...

It's been in this order for me for 30+ years. 1st: reliability 2nd: point ability/control ability 3rd: accuracy If a firearm isn't reliable it's no good If you choice in firearms doesn't point naturally for you, you will struggle to...
