I'm not taking anything away from dougguy and his work. I've recommended him countless times on other websites, no need here. He has enough people recommending him. You might consider shooting your ro before you start altering the bbl. I own 2...

Couldn't find any pictures of the glow in the dark bb's in the cast bullets. I do have this picture of them in jacketed bullets swaged from 40s&w cases for the 45acp. What I found odd with those bullets pictured above is when you hit steel with...

I use a 243win fl die. When making blammo ammo/blasting ammo I don't bother annealing the 40s&w cases. Pretty much caveman simple to do. Drop desired cast bullet/core into a 40s&w case. Use a 40s&w expander or a 41mag expander ( use a 41mag...

Forrest r replied to a thread Why Better as cast in Cast Boolits
More often then not it's a combination of things with the most common being the expander. The size of the ball throat sets the stage for the size of the expander.

Forrest r replied to a thread Core bonding in Swaging
I'm sure it isn't the correct way to bond cores to the jackets but I've always used plumbers flux and fluxed the jacket with it (model paint brush). Then I tosses the lead core in and stood them up in a cast iron skillet. I was bonding cores to 9mm...

Not really much help. Years ago I was adding the airsoft glow in the dark bb's to different hp bullets. Mostly 45acp's, looked around on the computer and couldn't find any pictures of them. Probably erased them when cleaning out old files. ...

To me yes, quality over quantity along with accuracy over blammo ammo. That being said I normally cast with only 1 hp pin in my 4c mold. The majority of my 45acp/target loads are on the 50ft line anymore.

The hp version of the mihec #68 clone tends to do a little better then the solid nosed version on the 50yd line.

Accuracy means so many things to different casters, that's why I tend to put when showing bullets/loads/groups: "Not a hand picked/cherry picked target by any means. Simply the test target used that day testing loads" "This is what I consider...
