A buddy asked if I knew what gun this sight came from. I have no idea, never saw one before. It looks like it might be military, but I can't even be sure of that. It has click adjustments for windage and I'd guess it had a screw through the hole...

Steel patterns tighter than lead because it doesn't deform and stays nice and round. Roughly, a modified choke will give you full choke performance. It's best to pattern your chokes with the ammunition you will be using to get the coverage you...

If it's a Remington M12, you'll need a new barrel due to their reverse cone breech. I never heard of that. I lined my M12 about 10 years ago. It was easy to do, and has shot well ever since.

Not much tinkering at all. The spring was the thinnest wire I could find and I even stretched it out a little to weaken it even more. All it does is keep a very light pressure on the front of the trigger to keep it from flopping forward.

Although not as good as double set triggers, drilling and tapping the sear for a setscrew can improve trigger pull immensely. I thought the sear would be hardened, but it drilled and tapped easily. Once you get the slack out, the trigger will be...

An update. Replaced the rivet yesterday, turned out I was over-thinking the process. Got a buddy to buck up with a 10lb sledge hammer head that I had a small dimple milled in to match the domed head of the rivet. I used a punch that I dimpled...

Thanks for the replies. The small local airport was the first place I asked, but without any luck. I will try body shops. I hadn't considered them, figuring they didn't work with rivets or aluminum, but never thought about UPS and mail trucks...

I had a rivet come out of my aluminum boat this past duck season. I got a replacement rivet, a piece of steel for a backer, but need to make a punch to peen over the shank. I got the next size bigger rivet, so I can drill a new, clean hole, rather...

quack1 replied to a thread I canít believe this in Our Town
I can believe it. After my wife died, I got a letter addressed to her, from the main hospital of our insurance plan. They mentioned the care she would receive, and was pretty much like the letter you got, and in a round about way, asked if she...
