LenH replied to a thread 1st Reloading Question in Cast Boolits

LenH replied to a thread 1st Reloading Question in Cast Boolits
Lead-2, Welcome to the forum and my condolences for your father. I have been loading .45 colt for 40+ years. I have never used a factory crimp die on anything but rifle rounds for cast bullets. And that is only used as a light crimp on said round....

Thanks for all the info. I watched the lady pack the sand with a wood block and make an impression with what she was trying to make. This is probably a one time thing, the cost of one of those lead weights from Benelli is so out of sight that...

I saw a young woman this past Saturday use kinetic sand to make a surface cast with pewter. My wife and I were at the National Ornamental Metal Museum in Memphis. This young woman was practicing for a class later this month. I watched for a pretty...
