    The 6 1/2” Model 24-3 revolvers came with the wrong height front sight. I had the same problem when I bought the gun new in ‘83 or so, and shipped mine back to S&W to have the proper height front sight installed.

    There is a lot of good info from previous posts. Loading for the .35 can be a little more problematic WRT setting up your sizing die. Size too much, and you get excess headspace, and dud rounds. You can “reclaim” those duds by using your inertia...

    If the firing pin hole is too large for the firing pin (or conversely the firing pin worn/too small for the hole), primer material can flow like what is shown in your pictures. If it is doing that with minimum loads, with a variety of primers . . ....
