Lee Mini & REALS, Buffalo bullet, Hornady Great Plains, CVA buckslayer, Buffalo ball-et plus others for the conical application. And I forgot probably the best known conical, the TC Maxi Ball

Track of the wolf should have RB moulds. Do a lot of research here for loads and wad combinations depending on what size ball you are thinking about.

Same as above, I don't think you are going to get that 452 boolit to shoot in that 50 cal without a sabot. MMP and Harvesters seem to be the average overall most accurate sabots, but all will kill a deer @ 100 yd. Yea, you can shoot a conical in it...

Looks like a bunch of ole guys having a fun day at the range enjoying a little competition. I noticed a few southpaws in the vids with pans on each side of the barrel. Ahhh, now I know why you go with such a big cal boooolit, you get more boooolit...

congrats John It was the first opener for me in 17 years. It was a beautiful opening day IMO. It was also the first opener that I never saw, not even one duck. I had another first, at one spot I threw out the first dozen dekes and had 7 aqua...

I never went HARD CORE scent free, but I believe it would be beneficial IF you kept a strict regime and were interested in shooting P&Y whitetails regularly IF you were in an area that has P&Y bucks, constant 4.5 yo and better, if you had the time....

I have the 94 30-30 in the 1 in 12. It will put three touching holes @ 100 yd with the Lee 180 and 32 gr of AC 4064. It will almost do the same with imr 4350. You should be able to go up a few grains with the 150 gr boolit. With the 1 in 10 though,...

What's the OD of the slug? Those should shoot out of a 835 overbore. Or, at least they shouldn't tip sideways. What's the going price?

There is one of the other weights going from pan to pan on the weight beam. I looked a bit and did not find any pistolas in the 327 or 44 special with 6" barrels. They were all 4.3" or shorter. Is there any pistolas out there that are escaping my...

It does kinda point in that direction doesn't it. I use to shoot about 10,000 rounds a year of 357 back in the '70s. First, a buddy of mine and I use to belong to a range and bought their 148 gr wadcutters to shoot. Then we got set up for...

This might not be the same exact weapon or barrel length, but it is 50 cal with Pyrodex. It should be in the neighborhood. You're probably pushing close to 2200 fps, basically. Trying to estimate drop past 200 yd? Make a cheat sheet from bullet BC...

I was trying to relay that with a 50 yd squirrel accuracy load on a neck shot deer was sufficient for deer, not necessarily the boiler room. Just about any accurate (2MOA) rested CF pistola cartridge will take a deer down with a neck shot. I...

I have just been pondering the two calibers. Both seem borderline for under 50 yd deer. I do not want to track over 100 yds really. The 327 fed if you could get squirrel accuracy @ 50 yds seems like with a 125 gr hardcast should do the job on a deer...

IMHO if you got the time I would try a batch of boolits 75/25 WW/Pb. The 4064 is a very good cast boolit powder. Try a 3 or 5 shot per group ladder test up the the top of loading of each powder in 1 gr increments for three or four increments. 4064,...

Decent standard noob question asked short and well. I will add to the other posters finer points and opinions. The RB of either the 50 or 54 will work on deer with the 54 having a slight edge, hard to say how much. The PRB is a deadly projectile on...

Do you have any powder in the 4064 to 4350 range besides the 4320? Give one of those a try. Slow the powder down possibly. Also, try just straight WW or only add a 10 or 20 % Pb mix.

@ GunnyJohn You have more Olive Gardens and Cafe' shops than a lot of states. The guberment officials need to keep up with the cost of living well, panache, and mighty. MI is getting like that.

Sounds pretty reasonable in Ideeeho for the sportsmans. That's a lot of freezer material. I like AR's tag fees. I just spent $59 for whatever I needed to go duck hunting in MI. Plus it cost $4 per 1/2 day hunt on one of the management areas. Small...
