I have a 36X Tasco scope that is giving me fits. It seems that it will not hold zero. By that I mean the scope will enable me to shoot a fairly decent group@ 100 yds and then all of a sudden a flyer 4 to 6" away from the group appears. I changed to...

Have you found the "half moon clips" to be an issue when shooting this revolver?

First lay a lamp or some other heat source on the 4500 to make sure the lube is soft enuf to flow. Crank the handle to get lube into the die. Measure the ".430" boolit to make sure it is really .430. If it is, it should go into the die easily even...

2400 has been an excellent powder for me and a friend in our .308 Winchesters. His is a Howa 1500 and mine is a Savage Mdl 11. We've found that from 16g to 19g and a 195g, NOE 311-202cup point can be a real tack driver if we do our part. It meters...

I've been casting and shooting for the .44 mag for 55 years now. During that time I've owned many different versions of the "Keith bullet". I've never been able to tell any appreciable difference between any of them on a target or game animal.

Does Hogue sell the x frame grips outright, or do we still have to go thru S&W?

Shuz replied to a thread Drying Brass in Cast Boolits
I use those 50 round plastic trays that come with some brands of 44 or 45 pistol ammo. Just turn the cases upside down and set the tray over a furnace duct and they are dry in no time.(provided your furnace comes on!)

My wife doesn't like semi-autos for various reasons, and has her mind set on a small light, easy to carry revolver for concealed carry. Since I presently reload for both .380 ACP and 9MM Luger, I was interested in the Ruger LCRx in 9MM that we saw...

Since I've got plenty of Unique, Red Dot and WC 820, I think I'll start with those. Thanks all, for the suggestions.

I'm looking for an accurate, perhaps 1 MOA, load with the Lee "soup can" boolit in a .308 Winchester Savage Model 11. I'd like the load to be in the 1500 to 1800 fps area. I've tried 2400@16g and the velocity was 1895fps and the group size was 1.4"...

I'm just starting to play around with the Lee C309-113F "soup can" in my .308 Winchester chambered Savage Mdl 11. I searched for loads using this boolit and never did find a "THE LOAD" for the .308 Win, but saw a lot of references to 13g of Red Dot...

I should have also mentioned that I tried a "second strike" in the TCP several times and they still did not fire. It wasn't until I put them into the Keltec K3AT that they finally went off. This same PMC primed ammo fired fine today on the first...

Yesterday I was shooting my Taurus 738 TCP with loads primed by a PMC small pistol primer, when I had several FTF rounds. These same reloads fired fine when struck the second time when they were put in my Keltec K3AT. Anybody else have an issue...

Well, I think the nose issue has been solved. I cleaned the area around the mould pins and mould pin holes that had built up just a little residue from the M-P molds special sauce whatever it is. I also buffed the mould cup pins to make sure they...

On comparing the driving band dimensions, I find that cavity 1 was always .312, and cavity 4 was always .313+. The other two cavities were mostly .312 or .312+. So it appears that cavity #4 is dropping boolits larger in all dimensions that the...

Popper--of the 4 drops mentioned above, 2 were cast front to back and two from back to front. No difference noted.

I turned down the heat to 700 deg F and cast a batch this afternoon. Based on measurements from four drops of 4 boolits each, it is evident that the nose diameter increases from cavity 1 to cavity 4 on all four sample drops. The amount of the...

The measurements were taken before any sizing on a pile that I still hadn't sized. However I did measure the noses on some before sizing in my Lyman 45, and they were the same size after sizing. The alloy was quench cast.

I discovered that the nose of one of my bore riding .30 cal boolits is not uniform from boolit to boolit. Some boolits measure .301-2 and others are .302-3 and a few were even .304-5. These boolits came from a run of about 200 boolits cast in a 4...
