When I get enough ingots into the pot I'll plug it in and set the mold on the top of the pot. I don't have a hot plate, and ain't going to bother with one now. Even the 6 cavity Lee molds get good and hot while I'm waiting for the alloy to melt,...

Maybe just ask him why he thinks it is better than X, Y, or Z. I am in the camp that none of the "new and improved" cartridges offer much in terms of improvement (for the cost of getting a rifle and setting up to load for it) but I honestly have...

For a **** rifle do not go cheap on the scope. Missing a deer is frustrating but will not get you killed. BTW, missed a deer with a Nikon scope that I had dropped...using Vortex scopes now. The scope on my hunting rifle is twice the price of the...

Those are beautiful. I finally got an aluminum Pepsi can so I re-taught myself how to use my Free Chex II. It's a .45 cal check maker but I have used the checks on my Lee 310 .44 cal boolits with great success, unlike trying to wrap one around a...

No, it is on Glades road..... and there's a lot of shops to pass by before you get there.... We were told that that area was the "old" part of Gatlinburg, before the downtown area was built.

I had four culls , mostly cosmetic, from the batch of Lee 358- 158 RF that I cast for my son yesterday, so I decided to try two to see if they'd pass the plunk test in my Ruger LC9s Pro. I flared four pieces of brass and without adjusting anything...

My son put one together and loves it. I've been out of touch somewhat, but the last time I went to the range there was a young man and his female companion shooting one at the end of the bench from me, maybe 30 feet or so away. I didn't realize the...

Every step is an inspection point. While I no longer have a .45 anything, I did use those with the sp primers for woods walking. And remember, you can use a sr primer in them without any problems.

I just put a touch of beeswax on my 6 cavity molds after they get good and hot, and leave the boolits in while I'm doing it. I made the mistake once. Synthetic oil doesn't do well for me with the Lee molds, but works with my steel molds....

I have two, a 10 and a 20 pound pot. The smaller pot I used to use for casting pure lead. It is VERY old, and works fine. The bigger pot isn't quite as old, but it's far from new. Two years ago I was ready to throw it into the river, as it started...

I put my loaded ammo into the plastic boxes from Midway, Plano , MTM or whoever. When I fill them up I start looking for empty 20 round boxes for my 30/30 A.I. to fill. I ran out of brass for it last week. 30-06 A.I. is the same. 9mm I have a...

That RCBS 270- SAA casts a boolit a bit heavier than advertised. You'll love it. I have one and found it to be the most accurate in my SBH that I used to own.

My first rifle was a Sears bolt action .22 I don't remember the model, but it was tube feed and held 25 shorts, 20 longs, and 18 long rifles. I think I got it for Christmas when I was nine or ten. I sold it to a young fellow here in Eufaula with...
