Lloyd, I got burned, wait, BLISTERD, on 77's in the tang safety era too. I must have owned a dozen(all 1976 guns) and the only one I owned that would hit a bull in the butt was a 270 and it was a great shooter. The rest had demons in them that...

Al, try a 150 gr flat point designed for a 30-30 in a 30 cal magnum at about 3300fps if you are really in the pumpkin eradication business . If you are close, don't forget to wear a raincoat!

S&W Shield 9mm. I'm notoriously cheap and @ $329 with 2 mags and a rebate offer for 2 more mags and 2 boxes of ammo, I had to have it. Have not seen the extra mags/ammo yet though. BTW, so far it wont shoot as accurately as my Kel-Tec PF9!

+1 for Smokes powder. It is a LOT easier to get good results with than HF.

OH we're not done with you yet. Wait till you start powder coating those newly cast boolits, with every color in the rainbow---and the custom made sizer dies.

The aluminum mold is lighter and mine cast beautiful boolits. I cant speak if brass because I don't own one. I have a NOE 290 gr GC 3 cavity and they shoot great from a 15" Encore with AA1680 and a magnum CCI primer. @ 1900fps, it has a bit of...

Now that's a rifle, pure and simple. I believe you got your money's worth! I am looking for a 336 to send to JES, but if I found a specimen like yours, I'd buy it in a minute. The "s" type butt must surely make repeat shots from the shoulder a lot...

That will be my next project. I am looking for a decent 336 that hasn't been abused, just used. Then it's off to JES for q 375 rebore. JES made a 30-06 BAR, with a very badly neglected bore, into a 338-06 for my shooting buddy and it has never shot...
