murf205 replied to a thread LEE mold for 10mm? in Cast Boolits
The 175 gr Lee works like a champ in my sons Colt Delta Elite. Accuracy is as good or better than factory jacketed rounds and it feeds slick. In my opinion, the powder coating helps the feeding of any cast boolit. With the big flat meplat, this...

Run the '06 over a .338 expander first and the case mouths will be more even. Tripplebeards, do you make that in one pass or go to .284 then .308?

Kudos to Burris for building the FF's. A shooting partner of mine has one on a 7.5" SRH in 454 that has had over 500 FULL throttle 300 and 325 gr loads through it and the Burris FF 3 has held its zero with a death grip. I'm still using a 2x Leupold...

Those 220gr bullets in an'06 were what all the old sourdough's used in Alaska for years to knock off bears to beavers. It would be hard to make a 308 digest 200-220 gr boolits with any degree of success.

If you decide to load the heavy bullets or some long boolits in that '06, you'll be glad you bought the 06. My 22" barrel FN 06 shoots 220 gr Hornady RN into an inch @ 100yds and chronos 2450 fps without straining. You have made a very wise choice...

jednorris is spot on with his advise about never having too much space. Bite the boolit and buy one bigger than you THINK you will ever need, Then bite a very small boolit and anchor that baby to the floor or/and wall. Crooks don't pry open a save...
