Why, is it because you want to keep the traditional look. There is not much $ involved in pc'ing. My oven pan came from a thrift store for .50 cents and a 15$ used toaster oven. 1 roll of non stick aluminum foil and an empty butter tub and you are...

reddog81are you thinking that .38 special caliber is .38 in diameter? They both shoot .357-.358 boolits.

Remember this: if your cylinder throats (aka chamber throats) are, for example .430 and you boolit is .432, you are sending a .430 boolit down the barrel. nawagner, if you are getting accuracy without any leading you probably have a .451 or .452...

Great choice James, you will love it. Mine is a no dash 6" with a Simmons 2x scope and it thinks it is a rifle! I load 13.6 grs of 2400 with an Accurate Molds 358160H that drops at 158grs for 1287fps average of 10 shots. A few yrs back I came across...

It's good to see you Glock shooters having so much success with cast boolits. For years I have heard that cast in a Glock was a headache in the making. I was a bit skeptical of all the rumors, as a boolit caster should be, until it was proven to be...

The last time I inquired about the long tube 3x Leupold, CDNN said they could order on for me. I beleive they come from Leupold's custom shop. Well worth it. If my son decides to shoot his Ruger #1 45/70 any more, I am going to "repo" my 3.5x10 from...

I use range lead that is from muzzle loading matches so it is pretty soft. I use 2% tin. Powder coating lets you get by with a softer boolit, in my experience, and also "slicks" up the boolit so is squirts up the feed ramps of auto loading pistols...

Ditto for trying ReL 15. It is Varget's 1st cousin and my LGS usually has it in stock. If you find a load that works as well, send the joker who wants $50 a lb for Varget a message thanking him for letting you find an alternative powder.

Another vote for the 175 gr Lee. I haven't loaded it in a 40 but I have in my sons 10 mm Colt Delta Elite and it shoots them better than anything. The powder coat helps feeding in semi auto pistols IMHO.

That's pretty darned good considering that 22's are very sensitive to the wind. I have surrendered to glass on my rifles except for the 1895 Marlin where I put a Skinner peep sight on it

Do you know the dimensions by any chance. My chief concern is if the chamber is reamed for a .355 throat and I cast and size a .357 or .358 boolit it might not fit, of course I could buy the right size sizer die, but I'd like a heads up in advance.

The 460 in a revolver has enough blast to feel it in your face. The 454 does too but for me, personally, I find the blast more objectionable than the recoil. The 15" Encore does not have the blast that the wheel gun has but you will certainly know...
