I don't have a rifle in 44 mag but I have several 44's with 1/20 twist and every one of them shoot the 310 Lee as well or better than anything else I have fed them. With the extra speed you get from a rifle you should have not problem with 310's. As...

+1 for the Xtratuf boots. I wish I could wear them, but they don't come in a 5E width. My right foot is a normal E and the one I tried on for that foot felt like a pair of sneakers. EVERY body in Ak wears them.

Now THAT'S a magnum revolver!!! The 44 was , and never will be, a pocket gun, so kudo's to you for building that one. Apologizes for the hijack.

Is that the 9 1/2" factory barrel with a brake added? I called ruger about rebarreling a SRH one time and they said no way. If it is an aftermarket barrel, how did you get it out of the frame? Neat looking hardware you have there brother.

Here you go. The Bisley is a John Gallager gun that has the sweetest action I ever felt. The SRH is the old gun that I Lauer Coated and has the scope (2x Leupold) off at the time of this pic. The 629 is my favorite piece for just about anything

If the desk doesn't work out for you, and I think that it may, here is a pic of my bench that was easy to make and cheap too. As you can see, I used 4x4 legs and belted it with 2x8's. If you look closely, you can see the top has 2x4's running front...

Be cautious about loading H110 too low. That powder does not respond very well to reduced loads. Hard to beat Unique and a Lyman 429421.

This was sent to me by a member here. Hope it helps. Does your local dealer carry Shooters World powder. Buffalo Rifle is supposed to be a very close replacement for 5744 and is a lot cheaper. With that said, Unique is darned hard to beat.

YaHoo! That's the H110 that we know and love. I read an article in Handloader about Accurate 11FS that is supposed to be the same as H110 with a flash suppressant (that's what the FS is for) and it worked for the author of the review. I have not...

I'll bet that H110 load from a 2 3/4" barrel has enough flash and blast to cook a t-bone steak!

He is pretty darned lucky to still have all his body parts! After a range session where I was shooting a 7mm mag and a 280 Rem, both Ruger 77's, where I dropped a 280 in the 7mag and shot it, I dont have any other ammo on the bench except what gun I...

On the other hand, I have had some cases that were pretty tired with primer pockets getting on the not so snug side, but not loose. When I used CCI in those, they gave the snug seating pressure that the mic indicated it would. Probably a combination...

I had the same issues with W-W primers being a bit undersized. I bought a brick and right from the start, I noticed they were falling into the pockets a bit too easy for my liking. I deprimed the live primers and substituted CCI's and Rem and the...

Larry, have you ever pressure tested the PC'd boolits against more traditionally lubed? I know that the pc coating feels slicker and feeds smoothly on auto feed ramps but I've often wondered if there was a Pressure difference.

This discussion reminds me of the Chevy-Ford thing. I cant get one of them to get me out of sight and some others put 400k miles on the other. One thing everybody seems to agree on. The Old RCBS Pro Melts were/are the best furnace for the $.

I remember 40 yrs ago when I ordered my Lee 10 pounder, I had just gotten married to MamaMurf and I had a Midsouth catalogue on my coffee table that I was thumbing through when I noticed the casting section. I had had a lot of trouble with a Lyman...

What load and what gun are you having the bad luck with the 429421? I have had great accuracy with 16.6 grs of 2400 in all of my 44 mag's. If you cannot get that boolit to shoot accurately, do what megasupermagnum said, check the gun and/or your...
