popper replied to a thread PNK ARMS 300BLK brass in Our Town
Not a case head separation, a shoulder separation. Below the shiny separation is another crack all around the inside. Can't see on brass that still has a shoulder. Nothing down in the case to show over pressure or anything. I'll eventually get...

Hardball alloy is fine for hogs. Expansion not needed. Breaking bones without shattering is( if you're saving meat) needed. I tried something like Larry recommended. One hole into the shoulder, no exit, 185gr 30/30 short range. Not what I want. ...

My post is to warn that based on THIS case, bad brass! From the separation and crack below it, I'd not even shoot new ammo from them. Separation is clean like a inside chamfer tool run around it and I can see a stress crack all the way around below...

popper started a thread PNK ARMS 300BLK brass in Our Town
No clue as to who makes it (no google results) but had a complete shoulder separation in sizer die. Pickup range brass, looked good, no swipes or dinged rim. H.S. PNW Arms 300 BLK. Miked the 'straightwall' remains - 0.015 about 1/2" down. Another...

In the dorm, spin a half dollar or quarter on the concrete floor. People below get the noise! Lug nut in the hub cap! Or inside the door panel.

One piece mount and if on a rail, push forward in the notch or mark location. Removing scope from rings upsets poa most. Those quick-mount lever on the side ones aren't very repeatable. That said, my 30/30 scope hasn't been moved in 10 yrs. Not...

2nd shot after the smoke clears! Rifle will do the job OK, problem is distance and the 'cloud'. A hog still standing @ 50-100 may move FAST at sound and flash. Will it still be there when that big boolit gets there? Typically won't charge you but...

Ruger #1 is 7# and they don't offer new 357, just 30/30. Stock for RB is ~300$ plus finishing, barrel 400$. You guy are going to make me spend $$.

HF white is just OK, black won't tumble worth a darn. Cheap stuff from India. I've done many setups for spraying, tried ES/water coating, most any method you could do in home workshop safely. Tumble works fine. Biggest trick is keeping powder dry...

29gr 4895, 311 cast and GC should be no problem. Expand the neck for 1-2 thous. neck tension and shoot away. Leverguns are not exactly target guns anyway but MOA @ 100 is not that hard. Marlin triggers aren't the best, 2 piece stock doesn't help...

I have the HF gun, made some mods to it that gave some improvement. However I tumble all my rifle boolits now, NO difference in performance! Haven't used the HF gun for 4-5 yrs now. I push rifle loads FAST. Save your $$. Tumble is easier, cleaner...

2 problems. Commercial 'blue' lube is terrible. 2- it's a marlin that normally takes the larger harder cast OK so you need 311 - NOT 310. I'd go with the GC design first. It can be done PB but there is a learning curve.Try H4895 first for powder -...

Win 7 still works, just no more security fixes coming. Linux Mint works fine, is easy to install. Visual desktop is very good now and doesn't crash like it used to do. Also FREE! Firefox just did an emergency/security update.

NLG also work for low pressure using LLA or BLL. Just like LG boolits, gas cutting at base will blow the stuff off. GC pretty much solves that problem.

They are aware. So far I cannot tell the difference, LG or not. My shooting is not that good. I did do MOA @ 200 with the AR10, just a tiny displacement groove in the boolit, ~10 thous. wide and deep. BO 145 I'm testing now only has the 'groove' of...
