Okay, so it took me a couple of days, but I proceeded as Bruce recommends above. The result was a passable example of the .358 Norma Mag brass, with a .300 Win Mag headstamp. It did take quite a bit of force to get the .35 cal expander plug through...

I have loaded for a rifle with a similar problem. I trimmed the brass a little at a time until it would chamber. A little bit of a "crimp" helped too. Unfortunately, the bore was too messed up for any of my efforts to prove worthwhile.

One of the guys that come up to our hunting camp, asked me last year to load some 300 WM for his rifle. He says "I want the 168gr ballistic tip, and load 'em 2gr over whatever the max is in the book" :not listening:[smilie=b:

Okay guys, I'm ready to be schooled! If you have 7mm Rem mag brass with a hole in the neck of @ .284, and you want that hole to be a little less than .338 (need some neck tension), do you just grab your .338 die with the standard expander plug,...

Looking for a reasonably good, serviceable set of original type grips for a 2nd series D-frame Colt (1964); that would be the long, round-butt frame, as opposed to the original square butt, or the newer short butt that's all enclosed in the wood. ...
