I have a couple Camillus knives. I started out with a double blade lock back Trapper, that has been my hunting companion for many years. I was able to dress and skin an elk and four deer, and it was still sharp. Knowing myself, I have a tendency...

I will say for USPS, I have shipped around 200 guns through them, with no loss or damage. UPS, on the other hand, managed to break the stocks on two rifles. One appeared to have been run over by a truck.

As soon as I heard he was shooting a throat burner like a .300 RUM, I would have discounted any firearm opinion from that point. Anyone who thinks a .35 Whelen is not enough gun in hunting, adds to that view that he is a bit foolish.

Sportsman must have been having a Grand Opening sale, that is a good price on either of those bullets! I think I pay about 30 c for Hornady and 70 cents for hunting bullets, Nosler partition.

I've had this happen with a couple guns, lead deposited right at the end of the neck, stuck to the case. In both cases I was using formed brass that was way shorter than the chamber, 7.5 Swiss from 284 Winchester and 8x56R formed from 7.62 Russian,...

In general with 45acp, my goto is Titegroup for J-words and Bullseye for cast. With that said, I had a can of SR7625 sitting around for quite a while, I don't recall where I got it? I had no specific use for it, so it must have been a auction or...

It sounds like a lot of inter related issues. One easy answer, no problem with the half cock. Put on the cap, let down the hammer, bring it back to half cock. IF it's only going to half cock, DO NOT drop the hammer on it until the fix is found....

The barrels will work fine. Like has been said, make it wider for stability and space. I'd go 6' minimum, and would prefer 8'.

4 years ago, I did that. I used a grinder to make them thinner. I used a drill press to ream out the holes, the holes did end up extremely close to the inner edge, I've used them many times with Lyman 4 cav molds, no problem so far.
