I bought some Range scrap from a member here, that batch is kind of soft, around 9 BHN. When I 'hand-pick' boolits off the ground at the Range, in front of the pistol Pit backstop, I usually get a hardness around 12 BHN.

I had one run itno me a week ago, that makes #7 for me. Took out the turn signal, and front quarter panel. At the end of my road where it joins the highway, and for a mile north, is the highest deer/auto collision rate mile in the state of Montana

If you haven't called CH4d, you might be surprised to hear they can probably be ordered. Before you call, be sure to know if you want series 101 or series 105.

Popper, I read with interest your findings as above. I have never previously heard of Hi-Tek to crumble off, unless it is exposed to above 250C and upwards. Coating has been cooked for days at 200C it goes black, but smash test shows no flaking...

Also, since we are talking about cutting/gathering firewood. I cut most of my firewood at a municipal compost site. The city will cut and drag whole trees from the boulevards or parks to the compost site and just leave them for people to cutup and...

I thought a Face cord is 1/3 of a full cord ? full cord = 4'x4'x8' face cord = 16"x4'x8' (as sold in MN). BTW, almost all sellers in MN advertise face cord (also nicknamed a fireplace cord) and the going rate is around $125

No problems with leaving it over night. The only thing you must remember is, that coating during drying, and storage of coated cast before baking, can trap moisture especially in cool and humid conditions. That trapped moisture has to be removed...

I would think it would be quite rare for a "mostly filled case do better" ...about the only time it would, is when you have a load of position sensitive powder where the load is less then 50% of case capacity.

It depends on the Hotplate, Most old ones are 1500W and it should be run on it's own circuit. Two Lee pots (6 amps each) will be fine having both on one circuit. That's my 2

Nice I owned a brass famed Remington cap and ball copy of their a few years ago. A very accurate gun. I currently own three 1873 44/40 Clt clones and they are beautiful guns and side by side with my mate's genuine Colts, there is no difference...

Just a heads up ...Be careful... if you decide to add a hotplate to your casting setup. Because a 16 gauge extension cord is a bit light to run both (Lee pot and a 1000+ watt hot plate), actually a 14 gauge is probably a bit light as well. My hot...

I don't recall exactly what OAL my Ruger 9e prefers when I use with the Lee 358-125-RF, but I do recall it wasn't at the crimp groove. Just assemble a some dummy rounds with various OAL and then do a plunk test with your gun, to find your OAL. ...

You wouldn't be alone! Although some of the targets are so small, a trade gun is really put to task. Olives at 25 yards, anyone? Plus shooting through the loops on a pretzel without breaking them!
