I used to think the same but after a season of shooting ppc with mine and kicking but I came back the next year to see about every top shooter in our league using 9mm 1911s. Now if you talking self defense a 1911 in 9 doesn't make sense even to me....

if you think lee pins are unbreakable you have loaded enough ammo on a progress press. Ive broke a few of them. All it takes is to tighten the nut up a bit to much and a old primer or an off center drilled primer hole or a shell plate that is a bit...

ive hit old primers in cases myself. It comes from tumbling. Sometimes a dead primer gets into the pile of decapped brass and dumped into the tumbler. Ive even had tired brass lose a primer in the tumbler.

my mistake. I looked at the suppliers I use and its all gone again. 820 is for all practical purposes aa9. When accurate arms first started selling powders they were repackaging surplus in fancier cans. When the supply started drying up they had...

You are measuring after you size them aren't you? Sizing will make them a couple thousands longer. I've seen new 44 brass that was short then I sized it a couple times and it stretched.

Yes I have one on RBH and Ruger SSix, I like them. I'm not sure they are made any longer though, One Ragged Hole was the name. The link above may be the same company with a slight name change for the sight?

best shooting 1911 I ever owned was a 9mm sti trojan. It outshot even the two les baers I had at the time and my gold cup match colt. best out of the box trigger on any handgun ive ever bought to boot. Was probably the stupidest gun thing I ever did...

Im sure a few win but at what cost? Id also venture to guess that he didn't win just because he didn't want to give up his land. Id bet he proved some environmental issue was at stake.

I enjoyed this thread. I started with the Lyman 48 and I had some questions that it didn't answer, although the Lyman is the most well rounded. The Lee manual was interesting, sort of a more practical take on it. Got the Lyman 49th now and...

A local guy did fight the power company and won, when they were widening the highway. Drive north from my place towards Kalispell, and you will see where the power lines make a jog around the front of the Cycle Haus property.

I agree with soaking it, or removing the rust in some way. If it still won't work, take it to the gun smith. The tiny roll pins that hold the safety in place can be a real booger to deal with.

Got a bicycle shop near by? They sell the CO2 dischargers, cheaper than a sporting goods shop. Get a couple ball inflator needles, cut them off past the vent holes in the tip.
